Did you know that the word "educate" comes from the Latin educere which means "to lead" or "to draw out."
This is a good description of the work that we do with victims of domestic violence. We educate them about domestic violence, help them to understand what they have been experiencing and then help lead them to a better life, free from violence and fear. We also try to draw out the potential that already exists in them such as the ability to make their own decisions, to be fully actualized individuals, and simply to be happy.
Additionally, we  educate the community about the dynamics of domestic violence and the extent of it throughout our area. We speak to churches, civic groups, organizations and schools. In this way, we enable everyone who desires to, to become an advocate for victims.
If you would like to have a speaker for your next meeting give us a call to set a date and time. You never know when
you may get the opportunity to change a life.
