LeJasmine Smith has the job title of Victim Liaison which means she contacts victims of the participants enrolled in the Family Violence Intervention Program or FVIP (formerly known as Batterer Intervention Program). She educates the victims about our programs and services, does safety planning and informs them of the participants' status in the program.
Originally from Alabama, LeJasmine is just finishing her Master's degree in Counseling and Psychology from the University of West Alabama. She and her husband Tay are excitedly expecting their first child.
The FVIP programs are an innovative way of addressing the issue of family violence, as they incorporates services to both the victims and perpetrators.
