On April 28th Project Serve, a volunteer organization that contributes their time and labor to agencies throughout the community, came to Safe Homes. They tackled some of the jobs at the shelter that have been needing attention for some time now.
Among other things, volunteers cleared brush, trimmed hedges, cut the grass, and planted flowers as a means of creating a more pleasant environment for the women and children who reside there.
If your organization or group would like to donate your time to the clients that we serve, call to Alicia Rouse and she will happily find something for you to do. If painting is not your "thing", we always need clerical and office assistance, too.
